Pickup Prep Checklist

Prepare your e-waste pickup or warehouse drop-off.

A little organization before service makes intake faster, safer, and easier to document. Use this checklist for offices, schools, warehouses, and homes.

List the equipment

Estimate quantities by type: laptops, desktops, monitors, servers, phones, storage media, accessories, and cables.

  • Use rough counts if exact counts are unavailable
  • Note pallets, boxes, racks, or rooms
  • Include brand/model details when useful

Separate data devices

Identify equipment that may contain sensitive data before pickup or drop-off.

  • Drives, SSDs, phones, and tablets
  • Servers and storage arrays
  • USB media, tapes, and memory cards

Choose pickup or drop-off

Decide whether you want scheduled pickup or plan to bring approved items to the Canoga Park warehouse.

  • Parking, loading dock, elevator, or gate notes for pickups
  • Point of contact for service day
  • Drop-off preference for approved accepted items

How It Works

A clear path from request to responsible routing.

01

Inventory

Create a simple list or upload a spreadsheet when volume is high.

02

Group

Group similar items and keep data-bearing devices easy to identify.

03

Stage

Place items where they can be removed or loaded safely without disrupting your team.

04

Submit

Send the service request with access notes, drop-off preference, and any special handling needs.

Best upload format

A spreadsheet with columns for item type, count, room, condition, service preference, and data risk is usually enough for the first review.
